For this strategy to work you have to have a decimal that is under 10.

For example 4.5

Then you need to get another decimal that has a 0 as the first number

For example 0.5

So now you have 4.5 x 0.5, then you would have to go 5x5=25 because it's one of the numbers you need to multiply it by, so you add the 5 that's in the ones column into the answer area and carry the other 2 and then you go 5x4=20 and then +2 because you carried it from the other equation and then there is 1 decimal point in every decimal so you add the 2 from 22 and put a decimal point and then you add the other 2 numbers.
